Winter 2014

December is here already and the beautiful Cayman Christmas breeze has been blowing across the islands, blessing us with some fantastic weather.

It has been an exciting last few weeks for the Ironwood team with the recent visit of Mr. Arnold Palmer and his design team, the launch of our Founding Membership golf program, a press conference with the Premier and members of the Cayman Islands Government, and a real estate reception with local agents.  There have also been a number of developments at Ironwood, which we will share with you in the New Year, but these will include updates on the Beach Club and Resort, the Arnold Palmer designed Golf Club and Lodge and the Town Center.

We would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to you all for your continued support as we look forward to a busy 2015 and continue to work to make Ironwood one of the top golf and residential developments in the Caribbean.

Merry Christmas from the Ironwood Team!

— LATEST NEWS & EVENTS —

The 'King of Golf' Visits Cayman

Mr. Arnold Palmer, his wife and members of the Arnold Palmer Design Company and Hospitality group visited the Cayman Islands for three days this month for the release of the Ironwood Founders Golf Membership program.  The team took the opportunity to visit local restaurants, take in a helicopter tour of the island, visit the Ironwood site and eventually relax their feet in the warm Caribbean Sea.

Ironwood Hosts Sales Reception

Luca Restaurant hosted the Ironwood Sales Reception for local realtors and guests.  Ironwood's Director of Sales & Marketing, Samantha Widmer, spoke about the real estate sales opportunities available to agents and discussed the newly released renderings of the Ironwood golf course and Beach Club.  Ironwood developer, David Moffitt, detailed the construction timeline and provided additional insight into the development plan and amenities that will be offered.  The Ironwood Town Centre, Arnold Palmer golf course and 10-mile road extension are expected to be built simultaneously and completed by early 2017.

Cayman Islands Government Press Conference

The Premier, Hon. Alden McLaughlin, Ironwood Developer David Moffitt, Arnold Palmer, CTL Capital’s Marty Arnold, Bay Hill Club and Lodge’s VP, Roy Saunders, and GLF Construction’s CEO, Joseph Beaird met for a press conference on 8th December 2014.  The Premier assured the audience that the project is going to open up a large area of Cayman which is currently inaccessible, and that this will encourage a varying range of development along the 10 mile stretch of the arterial extension.  He added that the ‘show of force’ by the interested parties present at the Press Conference was to communicate as strongly as possible that the project is going ahead, that all the parties are engaged and are prepared to publicly support the project.

Founding Golf Memberships Sold Out!

Ironwood released their exclusive Founding Members golf program earlier this month, and the response was exceptional with all of these memberships being sold out within a week of their release.  At a celebratory dinner held at Grand Old House, Mr. Arnold Palmer and his team personally greeted the Founding Members and guests and there was a photo opportunity with “The King” himself.  These members will become the ambassadors at Cayman Golf Club at Ironwood.
