Message From Ironwood

Welcome to Cayman's newest community in the Eastern Districts of Grand Cayman - Ironwood.

Whether you want to live in one of the many beautiful town homes, play golf on the Arnold Palmer signature golf course, snorkel in the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean Sea, hike in the Queen Elizabeth Botanical Gardens, bike, garden or lounge, this is island living with a purpose. We want to create something not only beautiful but useful and we look forward to turning our vision to a reality.

Community Events

North Side welcomed the Ironwood team to their District Council Meeting last week to discuss the upcoming development and answer questions.  “This is exactly the type of project we want to attract. It is going to provide long term employment to the construction industry and also opportunities after it’s done. This is what the community needs,” Ezzard Miller said.  The Team has also presented at Rotary Club of Grand Cayman luncheon, appeared on Radio Cayman and Cayman 27, and intention to continue to attend additional public presentations planned for the coming months.

Golf Spotlight

The Arnold Palmer Design Company team and the 'King of Golf' - Mr. Arnold Palmer, joined Ironwood Cayman Islands for a delicious lunch at The Brasserie Restaurant in Grand Cayman.  Guests had the opportunity to take pictures with Mr. Palmer before heading over to the Westin Hotel for the launch event.

With its intriguing design and sustainable philosophy, the Cayman Golf Club at Ironwood will stretch over 7,100 manicured yards of picturesque landscape and include 20 acres of comprehensive practice facilities, spectacular clubhouse and resort lodging.  Each golf hole will blend the modern style of strategically placed water hazards and challenging greens with the natural beauty of the Ironwood development, resulting in a signature Arnold Palmer design.

PGA Tournament Showcase

Ironwood and Fountainhead attended the prestigious Arnold Palmer Invitational Presented By Mastercard, a PGA Tour event held at Bay Hill Club & Lodge in Orlando, Florida.  Team members provided PGA professionals and potential investors with an opportunity learn more about the Cayman Golf Club at Ironwood, its offerings and promoting the Cayman Islands as a golf destination.

"We are pleased to welcome the Ironwood Development Team to The Bay Hill Club and Lodge this week for the 2014 Arnold Palmer Invitational. Our meetings will center on the successful integration of the course into the island's natural habitat. The APDC design team is currently putting the finishing touches on the Golf Course Master Plan to insure the golf club is a model of responsible land use," said Thad Layton, Vice President and Senior Golf Course Architect of the Arnold Palmer
Design Company.

Rotary Lunch

Denise Gower of Fountainhead, and Samantha Widmer  of Ironwood, were invited to present at the recent Rotary Club of Grand Cayman's Thursday luncheon at the Wharf Restaurant.  With approximately 100 members, the membership of the Club is a fair representation of the business community in Cayman with members ranging in age from their 20’s to their 80’s. Members were informed on the development's progress, amenities and offers for residents and visitors,

and the opportunity to

ask questions.

Environmental Focus

Ironwood is looking into the the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf, an award winning education and certification program that helps golf courses protect the environment and preserve the natural heritage of the game of golf. By helping people enhance the valuable natural areas and wildlife habitats that golf courses provide, improve efficiency, and minimize potentially harmful impacts of golf course operations, the program serves as a vital resource for golf courses.
