Ironwood Will Create Jobs

Those behind the $360 million Frank Sound project say it will be a job creator. That’s once the deal is ironed out. Ironwood plans to start work on the housing community – complete with shops, homes and championship golf course – once government agrees to let them extend the East West Arterial, 10 miles to Frank Sound Road.

They say once that happens there will be jobs for Caymanians up for grabs.

“The initial effect will be the construction jobs, not just for the road but the project as well. As those components get finished, there will be service providers that will be employed full time,” said Ironwood Project Director James McVey.

Ironwood is hoping to ink the deal with government before the end of this month (January) and begin construction ahead of March.
