Tyre tourism proposed

Tossed tyres for tourism? One visiting environmental expert certainly thinks so. Dr. Jim Park is working with Ironwood Developers on a proposal to government to rid the landfill of its burning issue and use those tossed tyres as fill at the proposed golf course in North Side.

It’s an idea that he believes could go down in the books. “By safely disposing over one million tyres and also build a new golf course, which will be in Guinness World Book of records and create a new attraction sight in Cayman Islands,” said Dr. Park.

Government plans on putting the project back out to tender in a few weeks for a fifth time.
